FINDING YOU FREQUENCY

You are not burnt out because you are working too hard. You are burnt out because you are working hard without reward. Success is energizing. Motion is energizing. Accomplishment is energizing. And yes — financial reward for hard work is energizing.

Are we living in an “age of exhaustion”? It feels that way sometimes. We live lives saturated with opinions, bombarded by a 24/7 news feed fueled by fear and decline. We let it in. It corrupts us. It drains our energy and destroys our frequency.

Have you ever had one of those days that just felt right? Where everything made sense? I call these “Days of Love and Action.” These are the days that tune us into our optimal frequency. We end them happy because our efforts brought balance, cohesion, and creativity. Tomorrow feels brighter because today affirmed a life well lived.

I’ve had days like these. I remember them clearly. They taught me that my frequency isn’t improved by things I buy, arguments I “win,” or validation I chase. Those are toxic side effects of modern life — and I’m as vulnerable to them as anyone. Instead, my best days come from simple things: accomplishing a meaningful task, spending time in nature, sharing real experiences with others, and feeling a sense of love and belonging. I’d wager these same things raise the frequency for most people.

We’ve all heard stories about tribes or remote communities that live extremely simple lives yet report greater happiness than most people in developed societies. They have far less but experience far more. They live on an uncorrupted frequency — one unaffected by artificial noise. Words like anxiety and depression don’t even exist in their vocabulary. Their days consist of essential tasks and communal activities. They live by a natural genetic code instead of being told how to live artificially.

There’s no going back — there are too many genies out of the bottle. But there is a powerful lesson here.

Our best days are simply days lived in the right frequency — our own unique combination of ingredients that make us feel whole and purposeful. Your “Day of Love and Action” will look different from mine, because we’re each tuned to a slightly different frequency. But our core need is the same: to quiet the distortion and find the melody.

This frequency propels us forward. It’s fine to row hard — as long as you’re rowing in the right direction. The obstacles will still be tough, but you’ll have the energy to overcome them because you believe in what lies on the other side. That is strength through faith.

As we head into Accelerator Week next week, my challenge to you is this: Find your frequency — or at least start to understand it. Don’t work hard on things that don’t matter. Don’t pour energy into false horizons. Don’t waste time on people or pursuits that corrupt your path. Tune in. Build your fortress. And fight for the things that actually matter.
